Follow these instructions to make your own Cow puppets.
Directions
- Start by using black construction paper to make 3 to 4 Cow spots. Since construction paper is thicker than regular paper, it’s perfect for keeping your puppet sturdy! Use your glue to attach them to the bottom half of the white paper bag. This will be your Cow’s body.
- Cut out an oval from brown construction paper using safety scissors and glue it to the flap on the paper bag. Cut two smaller ovals from black construction paper and paste them in the centre of the nose for nostrils.
- Use black construction paper to create two black circles for the eyes. Then, grab a hole punch to cut out one small circle for the centre of each eye. Paste the eyes above the nose.
- Taking black construction paper, cut out your Cow’s ears and attach them to the backside of the bag using glue.
- Next, you will take white construction paper and make the Cow’s arms. Glue them to the back side of the paper bag as well. With the black construction paper, you will make hooves to attach to the end of the Cow’s arms.
- Lastly, you get to customize your Cow! Colour the collection of props provided to you to add your own special touch. You can add carrots, flowers or paint supplies to your Cow. Cut these out and paste them to the end of the hooves.
- Place your hand inside the Cow puppet, opening and closing your hand as you use your voice to bring your Cow to life.
