Chick-fil-A
Shared Table

According to Canadian Public Health Organization, 15.9% of households in Canada ( approximately 5.8 million people) lack adequate access to food.” To do our part, more than 2,200 Chick-fil-A® restaurants, including all 16 of our Canadian locations, engage in Chick-fil-A Shared Table®, which helps local Owner-Operators donate surplus food to help feed those in need in their neighbourhoods.

At the end of each day (except Sundays), participating Chick-fil-A® restaurants prepare and package their surplus food for donation to local organizations to help reduce hunger and food waste.

Did you know…

Households account for nearly half of all food waste in Canada. This isn’t a problem anyone can tackle alone, but together we can make a big impact. Through more than 2,200 participating Chick-fil-A restaurants in the United States and Canada, 30 million meals have been served to those in need.

Our commitment to serving others

The Chick-fil-A Shared Table program is just one part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility. Inspired by our founder’s belief that “a good company is a caring company,” we prioritize several initiatives that provide support to our neighbours, communities and the planet we share.

“As food insecurity in Canada has grown, it’s important to me as a local business owner to be conscious about how I’m conducting business and giving back to those in need in my community. The Chick-fil-A Shared Table program is a genuine, caring way to support our neighbours – and that is really what makes Chick-fil-A a leader in the quick-service restaurant industry. “

Our donations go to Windsor Family Homes and Community Partners—specifically to their Kids First Food Bank. Several Team Members told me they have to make use of this food bank in the past, so they’re very grateful to be assisting this cause from the other side now.
