TORONTO, ON – (May 28, 2026) – Chick-fil-A® is bringing Cow Appreciation Day® — its most beloved bovine tradition — to Canada for the first time on Tuesday, July 14. A celebration of Chick-fil-A’s iconic Cows, this fun-for-all-ages day invites Guests to dress in their best cow spots to receive a complimentary entrée. This is the brand’s largest single-day customer appreciation event — and it’s just one way Chick-fil-A is treating Guests to delicious fun this summer.
History of Cow Appreciation Day®
In 1995, the phrase “Eat Mor Chikin” first appeared on a billboard in Atlanta, Georgia. Painted by a pair of mischievous cows, the phrase introduced the most recognized advertising campaign in Chick-fil-A history. Since then, the Cows have been spreading mischief and fun wherever they go.
Cow Appreciation Day® began in 2005 as a celebration of the Cows, who have been a huge part of the Chick-fil-A story; so much so that Chick-fil-A decided to grant them their own special day — one the brand is excited to bring to its Canadian Guests this summer.

How Canadians Can Participate
Chick-fil-A has a treat in store for any Guest who visits any of its restaurants across Canada from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time on July 14: an eligible complimentary entrée for those in their best cow-themed attire, including the Original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, 8-count Chick-fil-A® Nuggets or 5-count Nuggets Kid’s Meal, while supplies last.*
A Taste of Summer Arrives June 8
A fun and delicious summer doesn’t stop with Cow Appreciation Day®. Chick-fil-A is also helping Guests cool down with the return of popular seasonal treats and exciting new sips, available for a limited time.
- Peach Milkshake and Frosted Lemonade: Fan-favourite Peach treats are back just in time for the warmer weather. Enjoy the hand-spun peach milkshake and peach frosted lemonade (also available with diet lemonade) all summer long.
- Peach Milkshake: Hand-spun the old-fashioned way, this creamy milkshake features Chick-fil-A® Icedream® dessert and peach purée, topped off with whipped cream and a cherry.
- Peach Frosted Lemonade: A combination of Chick-fil-A® Lemonade (or Diet Lemonade) and Icedream® dessert mixed with peaches, the Peach Frosted Lemonade delivers a taste of summer with every sip, adding fresh lemon juice to the recipe for a perfectly balanced blend of creamy, fruity and refreshing flavours.
- Strawberry Hibiscus Beverage Lineup: Due to guest demand, the refreshing flavours of strawberry and hibiscus have been extended from spring and into summer! Guests can continue to enjoy the Strawberry Hibiscus flavour in four of Chick-fil-A’s most popular drinks:
- Strawberry Hibiscus & Sprite®: A crisp and refreshing mix of Sprite® mixed with strawberry and hibiscus flavours.
- Strawberry Hibiscus Lemonade: A mix of classic Chick-fil-A® Lemonade (or Diet Lemonade) mixed with strawberry and hibiscus flavours.
- Strawberry Hibiscus Frosted Lemonade: This delicious treat combines Chick-fil-A® Lemonade (or Diet Lemonade) and our signature Icedream® dessert, mixed with strawberry and hibiscus flavours.
